Financed in 2013 by Metz Métropole Développement and conducted by the company Test.

Following its studies (participation in the barometric study of the Pompidou-Metz Center visitors, carrying out of a study regarding the Tour de France's impact on Metz in July 2012), Metz Métropole Développement decided to conduct a study on the tourists visiting Metz in order to know them better and to have a comprehensive overview of their purchasing behavior.  

This study has been carried out by the company Test in August and September 2013. The goal was to question visitors while leaving Metz in order to know what they had purchased (and to avoid relying on intentions) and the breakdown of what they had spent.
