Welcoming medical interns

Welcoming newcomers is a priority for the Eurometropole and the Inspire Metz agency. As part of its mission to promote economic attractiveness, the agency is a one-stop shop for welcoming and providing information to all newcomers settling in the Metz Eurometropole. Every year, the metropolis works with hospitals. A partnership has been set up with CHR Metz-Thionville, which welcomes around 200 new interns for 6-month placements.

Inspire Metz

Interns are given a welcome guide for new arrivals and a presentation kit for the region, with films on its tourist appeal. Testimonials from young doctors are also shared, to encourage interns to plan their professional future in the region, and to come and settle here at the end of their internship.

From 2025 onwards, the agency will also be offering, in partnership with the Metz Eurometropole, the City of Metz, the CPTS Metz&Environs (Communauté Professionnelle Territoriale de Santé), theARS (Agence Régionale de Santé) and the Région Grand Est, a day for healthcare professionals to settle in.

These actions are in line with the objectives of the Local Health Plan for the development and organization of healthcare provision and medical demography, in partnership with local healthcare establishments, professionals and institutional partners.
