On Wednesday August 27, 2025, from 11am to 11pm, the Parvis des Droits de l'Homme in Metz will host "Fripes & Frites", a day combining popular gastronomy and responsible fashion. "Frites & Fripes" is an invitation to consume differently, in a festive, rhythmic atmosphere. The spotlight will be on sustainable fashion and street food through LA FRITE.
The event revolves around two universes: fripe and frites. On the one hand, a vintage and second-hand clothing market will bring together professionals and local designers to promote ethical and sustainable consumption. It's the perfect opportunity to bargain for one-off pieces, meet local players and give a second life to your wardrobe, in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

On the other, six foodtrucks reinvent the French fry in all its forms, with original recipes based on local potatoes. Visitors will be able to savor a variety of menus, adapted to all publics:

  • Portion of French fries: €5
  • Classic menu (French fries + side dish): €10
  • Student menu: €8 (upon presentation of proof)
  • Children's menu (under 12): €5

The day will feature live concerts, entertainment, a tombola with lots of prizes to be won, and relaxation areas to make the most of the festive atmosphere. A competition will crown the "best French fry shop in Moselle 2025" at the end of the event.

"Fripes & Frites" is organized by the Metz Sablon Amphithéâtre association and UMIH Moselle, with the support of the City of Metz, the INSPIRE Metz agency and Metz Mécènes Solidaires. An event that invites you to consume differently, with joy and respect for the environment.
