In the heart of Scy-Chazelles, in a former winery, the "Chez Pierre" restaurant opened on June 5 at 2 rue Jeanne d'Arc. Pierre Cordier, renowned in Metz for his "petits plats de Pierre", is the chef at this upmarket restaurant. Traditional dishes such as chicken basquaise, duck parmentier and pork mignon sit alongside Asian, Greek and Italian dishes such as bo bun, moussaka, Thai beef and parmigianna. Menus are offered in a contemporary setting.

In Metz, the Basic-Fit fitness chain already has three health clubs: Sablon, rue Serpenoise and boulevard de la Solidarité. The chain is continuing its expansion with an opening in the north of Metz, at 70 route de Woippy, near the former Auchan supermarket. Opened on May 19, this 1,680m2 club offers seven training zones. Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

For chocolate addicts, Leonidas Chocolates Café is a tasting room that opened on June 19 at the lower end of rue du Grand Cerf in Metz.
In a cosy interior space or on the attractive terrace seating around twenty, customers can sample delicious Leonidas chocolates, ice creams, crêpes and waffles, accompanied by smoothies, nespresso coffees, lagrange teas and other softs. This tasting area completes the street's upscale food offering.
