The zone
Created in 1983, Metz-Technopôle illustrates Metz's determination to capture breakthrough innovations. The site brings together the city's leading business schools, research laboratories and some 300 companies.
At the crossroads of communications, bordering the "South" bypass linking the A31 (Lyon-Luxembourg) to the A4 (Paris-Strasbourg), it is home to a cluster of skills applied to materials, energy and the Factory of the Future.
It represents an ecosystem made up of a competitiveness cluster, technology transfer centers, higher education establishments and research laboratories grouped together in the "Invent Metz Campus".
Companies and employment
In 2017, there were almost 300 companies and 6,100 jobs.
4,500 students attend the Université de Lorraine and 6 grandes écoles.
