Beyond the economic aspects, these activities are a strong component of the region's identity and an essential source of attractiveness.

The activities concerned

UNESCO defines the Creative and Cultural Industries as "... the sectors of activity whose main purpose is the creation, development, production, reproduction, promotion, dissemination or marketing of goods, services and activities that have a cultural, artistic and/or heritage content".

Cultural industries: photography, video games, advertising design...
Creative industries: film and video, radio and television, publishing and printing, music...

The Metz Eurometropole has 1,200 companies in the CCI sector, distributed as follows:

  • 30% in cultural industries
  • 40% in related activities

Equipment :

The diversity and richness of the region's facilities are solid assets for culture and creativity. What's more, they contribute to the region's economic development and appeal.

An effervescent creative field, driven in particular by BLIIIDA :

The Metz Eurometropole's competence in the field of economic development translates in particular into assistance and support for local players working on the emergence of innovative, wealth-creating projects.

The creation of its "BLIIIDA " third-location facility in 2016 is a response to the desire to support local players working on the emergence of innovative, wealth-creating projects for the development of artistic, cultural, digital and economic projects.

A space for Innovation, Inspiration and Collective Intelligence, this third-place aims to be a veritable urban laboratory where you can find inspiration, discover new trades and new ways of consuming, working, making, undertaking, creating, enjoying, renting spaces, visiting and learning.

BLIIIDA's aim is to enable local artists, craftspeople and students to find the professional resources and equipment they need to manufacture and design their ideas, and to create collective, multi-disciplinary projects.

To this end, BLIIIDA continues to promote and develop the region's artists and craftspeople, based on two strategic pillars: sharing and support.
