The zone

Logo Plateau de FrescatyLocated south of Metz in the communes of Augny, Marly and Moulins-lès-Metz, this former area, formerly known as "BA 128", became the property of the Metz Eurometropole in June 2015. The Plateau de Frescaty is connected to the Nancy-Metz axis by the A31 motorway. It therefore occupies a privileged position in the Moselle corridor, thanks to its proximity to Metz's Rocade Sud (RN 431) and rapid connection to the A4. Last but not least, it is in the immediate vicinity of Actisud, France's second-largest commercial zone.

The first development phases concern 6 sectors:

  • Base Vie: a 25-hectare mixed-use zone comprising office, storage, craft and accommodation buildings,
  • Domaine de Frescaty: a 26-hectare area dedicated to leisure activities,
  • The 7-hectare Pôle d'Économie Solidaire et Sociale Saint-Privat,
  • The Agrobiopôle: beekeeping center, agricultural test area, permaculture, market gardening, small fruit production, meadows and orchards on 70 ha,
  • Sports center: FC Metz's professional training center on a 31-hectare site,
  • ZAC Pointe Sud: 15.7 ha logistics, industrial, craft and business services zone

A mixed-use business park
"La Base Vie

Located in the commune of Augny, the "Base Vie" is a former living area that still includes around twenty buildings that can be used in the short term. Covering an area of around 30 hectares, the development plan is designed to accommodate economic activities (business, offices and housing) and green spaces, creating a pleasant living environment.

At the entrance to the "Base Vie", the "La Conciergerie" building offers 5 individual offices of around 38 m2 for rent. A meeting room for up to 12 people is also available, as is free public parking.

The Eurométropole de Metz is committed to developing high-quality facilities that will bring definite added value to the area. The project will also involve upgrading the road network, integrating soft mobility, managing stormwater issues and installing fiber-optic and gas connections.

Zone d'activités économiques, commerces et loisirs
"Le Domaine de Frescaty

It comprises two sites: the Moulins-Tournebride camp and the General's residence. Its vocation is to host economic, commercial and leisure projects. The Résidence du Général, an emblematic building, will be converted into an innovative gourmet restaurant with accommodation. The restaurant will be called "La résidence" and "Les lodges de la résidence". The project takes account of its surroundings to reduce the impact on landscaped areas and preserve the ecological balance. More than two-thirds of this area is green space: woodlands, meadows and ponds.

Agricultural activity zone
"The Agrobiopole

The 70-hectare Plateau de Frescaty is at the epicenter of this project, which is based on a number of available agricultural wastelands that the Metz Eurometropole wishes to mobilize in order to develop local market garden production.

This development project is designed to reinvest part of the area in the production, processing and promotion of local produce.

The Agrobiopole will offer visitors the opportunity to discover innovative forms of agriculture (animal welfare, agroforestry, etc.) thanks to its educational spaces, as well as the chance to eat local produce thanks to the promotion of short distribution channels.
